Elder Tony Post

This is a picture of my awesome friend Tony Post who at the time is in Raleigh North Carolina serving a mission. Mother's day is coming in a few weeks and my thoughts have been on Tony - my reason for thinking of Tony is that back in September when Tony had only been on his mission a few months his Parents were sadly killed in a car accident. Tony and I write often and have shared many things, the last few letters he has written have been about his parents and how hard it is to lose both parents and what a daily struggle it is. Even though he has shared some deep thoughts with me I still can't begin to imagine what it must be like for him.
I have found that even though Tony and I are only a few years apart that my motheringness kicks in and I make sure that he gets packages and letters often.
With mother's day coming so soon my heart aches for him and can't help hurt and feel a little upset that it is mother's day that it's just a reminder that he wont have his mom to call that day.
I am so glad that I have such an awesome friend like Tony, I admire his strength to keep serving a mission even as hard as it must be. Tony is such a great example to me and I know that even though he is going through such a devastating thing that he will be blessed for pushing through this an serving his mission. LOVE YA TONY!!!!

.. little brother - BIG BROTHER..

Grandma Olsen gave the boys these shirts when I had Zachary. Today I was cleaning out drawers and discovered that I had never taken their picture in them. These were the best pictures I could get - at least one child is looking at the camera.....

Being a mom of two boys is AWESOME..... Having two kids is AWESOME..... Having two kids is so much easier then one. My boys have become the best of friends even at 3 1/2 and 10 months they just love each other. Today in the car they had each other laughing so hard that I thought one would stop breathing from laughing so much. I truly enjoy and love being their mom. The best is when Brock comes out of the blue and says "mom you are cute, and I need to give you a kiss" nothing is better in life then that.

Brock is so in love with firetruck, police cars, ambulances, and motorcyles. His new thing to say is " mom I want one of those moto-cyle (mortorcyle) but I can't until I am an older boy, when I am older boy I will get money, 15 dollars get a key go drive ,then go fast, but I'm not older boy yet" (for some reason he thinks everything is $15.00-- umm wouldn't that be nice)

God's Arms

I've sure been thinking about this song alot lately. What a wonderful thing adoption is, so I wanted to share this with everyone who maybe going through the same thing.
FROM GOD'S ARMS TO MY ARMS TO YOURS

With so many wrong decisions in my past, I'm not quite sure.If I can ever hope to trust my judgement anymore. But lately I've been thinking, 'cause it's all I've had to do.And in my heart I feel that I should give this child to you.

And maybe, you can tell your baby when you love him so that he's been loved before.By someone who delivered your son, From God's arms to my arm's to yours. Now if you choose to tell him and if he wants to know. How the one who gave him life could bear to let him go.Just tell him there were sleepless nights I prayed and paced the floors. And knew the only peace I'd find is if this child was yours.

Now I know you don't have to do this, but could you kiss him once for me?The first time that he ties his shoes or falls and skins his knee, And could you hold him twice as long when he makes his mistakes.Tell him that he's not alone, sometimes that's all it takes -I know how much he'll ache.
This may not be the answer for another girl like me.And I'm not on a soapbox saying how we all should be.I'm just trusting in my feelings and I'm trusting God above. And I'm trusting you can give our baby both his mother's love.

Lyrics and music is copyrighted by Michael McLean. The song's original album is called "One Heart In The Right Place"

I'm Tagged Again

So here's the rules
A. Post the Rules
B. Answer all the questions about yourself
C. After you are done posting, tag 5 people.

A Little About KRISTINA

1. WhAT WERE YOU DOING 10 YEARS AGO?
OH MY HECK - answering this question sure takes you down memory lane. So what was I doing 10 years ago - well it was 1998 and so many things happened that year. I was a sophomore at Weber High School, best friends with Sarah Willson and are still to this day... 10 years ago I got braces for the second time which really sucked- oh I got them just in time to turn 16-I was mortified.. Who was I crushing on? well um who wasn't I- LOL- being mortified that I got braces just in time to be 16 didn't stop things, I had my first date that year with Jeremy Lee, he became my first serious boyfriend.. Oh and I finally got my drivers license...BUT....there is one thing that when I think of 1998 stands out the most - my heck I haven't thought about it in years until answering this question - I guess even after 10 years it's something you can't explain or understand... WOW - most wont understand what I'm talking about but a few out there that read this will - Someone once said that somethings you can't explain and may never understand, and it's better to just let it be... Can't believe that was 10 years ago...

2. 5 THINGS ON YOUR TO DO LIST TODAY
a. first things first I head to the gym for at least an hour.
b. laundry laundry laundry - how one little family has so much laundry.
c. vacuum my house - I do this at least 3 times a day
d.clean out a closet or something
e. play, love, and enjoy spending time with my little boys and being a stay at home mom.

3. SNACKS I ENJOY: chocolate from See's Candies, bakery items like homemade cookies, brownies ex. and I love Eskimo cookies from girl scout cookies... my weakness.

4. WhAT WOULD I DO IF I WERE SUDDENLY A BILLIONAIRE? on a selfish note I would get a tummy tuck well ok don't need to be a billionaire for that, but I would get it done by Doctor Rey from Doctor 90210. I would build my dream house, build my parents a house and help out the rest of my family as much as I could - oh and spoil my Grandma Kaye because she has done so much for me and is one that you could never say thank you enough- that's why I call her grandma BOMB-then I would adopted as many kids as I could handle, then I would travel travel travel.

5. 3 BAD HABITS
a. I am a germ FREAK
b. I vacuum my house more then normal people
c. I twist the ties on blankets - I've done it since I was a baby.

6. 5 PLACES I'VE LIVED
a. Fruit Heights
b.Liberty
c. Morgan - not really, but I spent so much time there with my great grandparents that it felt like home.
d. Apartment in Ogden - Sarah and I along with some other friends decided to move into an apartment in Ogden and it was one of the best times ever- all we did was PLAY PLAY PLAY - wow that takes me down memory lane again.
e.Kaysville, Layton and North Ogden

8. 5 THINGS PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME:
a. I am only telling this because I was thinking about the apartment days - when Sarah and I first moved in the bathroom was having to be fixed, well we had some old boxes on our porch and since we didn't know anyone we couldn't use their bathroom so Sarah and I had to go so bad that we went on the porch in the boxes - then later made the guy I was seeing take them out and didn't tell him why they were wet LOL LOL LOL. is that not just awful - FUNNY but awful.
b.This is really lame - but I think that Victoria Beckum and David Beckum are the hottest two people ever..... -k- my secret is out.
c.Ummmm - Sarah and I have done so many things together that no one knows all the tricks and things that we've done over the years, it's a good thing we are married because we would probably still be up to no good. (I'll never tell)....
d. I love Donny Osmond
e. I always wanted to be a professional dancer, singer, or runner. Also it took me more then 4 times to pass my written drivers test for my drivers license.
The last unknown thing about me is that I am a human map- can go to a place even in the dark never having been there and find my way again years later.

GOOD T.V.

Since this week the whole family has been home sick we have gotten a chance to watch TV. These two shows are the best
thing on TV. Jon & Kate + 8 is such a great show - I've watch it since it first aired on TV. Jon & Kate are such amazing people, and those days that I feel like I can't do it anymore I just turn it on and everything is better, and I know that if they can do it will that many kiddies then I can surly do it with just two. Brock love watching it - Monday nights I let Brock stay up a little late to watch it together, Brock always asks "are the kids on yet" he loves watching all 8 kids. If you haven't seen it I recommend it - it truly gives you hope on days of craziness.

Little People Big World is such an inspirational show we can't get enough of it. It just goes to show that anyone can do anything no matter what challenges you may face. This show also gives you hope that you can do anything you set your mind to. I love that both of these shows per tray family values and the importance of family time. Check them out one after another on Monday nights on TLC.....

1-2-3-4 Olsen's Sick

It's been a while since I've commented- reason being is that everyone in the Olsen house has been sick. It started with me 3 weeks ago when I went running one Saturday morning and towards the end of my run it started to snow and the wind really picked up but I kept running. After a few weeks of not getting better it really hit me hard this week so much that Travis had to come home from work to take the kiddies cause I felt so sick. Then Travis got it, then Brock - thank goodness baby Zachary was already on antibiotics. We all went to the doctors yesterday and are now all on antibiotics. It's been nice having Travis home but not because we are all sick and can't go anywhere or do anything but be SICK.....

Doc was asking about my health from when I was sick/sick - I told him I had been working out a lot but that every time I push to hard I end up with major headaches. He thinks that my heart rate still gets to high from when I was sick and takes a long time to settle down which in return is giving me migraines the migraines get so bad that makes me throw up, can't sleep or drive. So he wants me to do steroid breathing treatments and if that doesn't work then a daily migraine medicine so that I can still work out with out getting sick.

On Sunday my neighbor came over to bring homemade lemon bars -he's from California and gets home grown lemons - they are the best lemon bars ever, he knows how much I love them so every time him and his wife make them they always share - I was feeling so sick that day when he showed up with fresh lemon bars I turned to Travis and Rich and said "is it wrong to LOVE another man" THAT'S HOW GOOD THEY ARE.....LOL.....
Thanks Nancy and Rich for sharing your wonderful lemon bars.........

Since we all have been sick we got bored and thought we would give Zack some licorice.

This is when Brock was little -his first time having licorice.

Zachary loved the licorice - wasn't happy when he was sticky from it.

Zachary is such a busy body but being sick all he wants is to be held by his dad - NOT MOM- kinda makes me sad.
This is the only way Zack would sleep

I can't believe that my baby boy is 10 months old today- two more months and he will be 1 years old - how the time has gone fast - it seems to me that he shouldn't been turning 1 so soon, but when I missed the first few months of his life I feel behind on him getting older.

Milestone

What a proud mom I am today. Brock no longer needs diapers and can go potty all by himself. As a mom I am so happy that he is a BIG BOY now, even more that we made it to this point. To think that 3 1/2 years ago this was Brock and not sure if he would make it. Then when Brock got Kawasaki's disease June of 2006 and almost lost him then- today- for me is a big day and what a milestone. To some this milestone may seen kinda funny, but to Travis and I there was a point where doctors weren't sure we would have Brock, so yes we are very proud parents.
AN NO MORE DIAPERS

We love you Brock

SEXY.SEXY

OH MY HECK - I just have to say that I am beyond excited that
"Greys Anatomy" is starting soon.. YIPPY SKIPPY.
My sister Annie and I love him. When we watch Greys together it has to be silence at all time...LOL... seriously... Why do you think we saw "Enchanted" just for Patrick Dempsey....

You are all wondering how come i have this sexy picture of Kevin Costner on my blog well my reason is this. I LOVE KEVIN COSTNER MOVIES.

As a stay at home mom of two you would think i have all the time to watch TV well not even. The only time lately I get to watch anything is when I am trying to get boys down for sleep time or bed time, and what's always on in the afternoon is KEVIN COSTNER.

Top 5 Kevin Movies:

1. Field Of Dreams - I love this movie, and have seen it more times then one can count. Even though I've seen it a million times I still can't help but watch it when it's on TV.

2. Dances With Wolves - Wonderful movie- also seen it a million and one times.

3. For Love Of The Game- This movie is WONDERFUL - he plays a pitcher and he wears baseball pants - FANTASTIC -love a man in uniform- especially baseball pants, but what's funny is that I have this thing about baseball - lets just say only reason why girls watch it is we love a man in those pants..lol lol..

RANDOM TOPICS

Y - I- P-P-E-E....... So i know that in years to come Brock is
going to hate that i put these pictures up, BUT for all of you that
have boys that are going on 3 1/2 yrs old -FINALLY - he is getting the potty thing down. We have tried so hard getting him to want to use the big potty. We still struggle with it but are making progress, so if anyone has any advice to get him doing all the time PLEASE PLEASE let this mommy know.

Baby Zachary is now climbing stairs - we have to gate everything off because he is a major climber. On Sunday we turned our backs for a second and next thing we knew Zack was half way up the stairs - we didn't know he could climb.

Zack has this look of - watch out mom

You ever get that feeling that even though your kids can't talk yet
they are laughing at you. Zachary does this often, and i just know that i am in for it. My parents always thought that I needed a girl to make up for giving them such wonderful years -lol- but i think that i wont need a girl because Zachary is going to be my wild child. (FYI - NO chance of a girl - this mommy is done having kids).

These are pictures of my sweet boys in their Easter pj's. This year instead of much candy i got them pj's. My boys LOVE firetrucks, and when i saw these i had to get them. We live by a fire station and every day we head home Brock says "mom fire station " so we drive by and say "goodnight firetrucks see you tomorrow" An notice that Brock is just like his mom always on the phone.

............ Brother LOVE...........

POOR POOR Simba - since Zack can get around Simba doesn't stand a chance and can't hide anywhere. Since being around two wild boys Simba is getting use to being wrestled when he least expects it.

Our sad blinds. You can see that Simba thinks it's his secret hiding place - WE SEE YOU SIMBA.
