Sleepy Boy & Funny Faces

Yesterday Brock had such a busy day.
1. Went with dad to get new tires on moms car.
2. Went with dad to get propane for the grill.
3. Went to Wendy's for fries and nuggets with dad.
4. Hung out with Aunt Annie and Makena-Annie's friend.
5. Went with mom, Annie, and Makena to Wal-Mart
6. Went with mom, Annie and Makena to Lee's Market.
7. Went back to Makena house and hung out with mom, Annie, Makena and Makena mom.
8. Helped mom get ready for party.
9. Told mom "I'm a big boy, no sleep"
10. I thought big boys don't sleep. LOL

WHO THINKS MOMS A DORK
Last week Brock wanted to take pictures of mom, so this is Brock taking pictures, but mom helping him hold the camera -we got a new camera so Brock thinks he needs to always take pictures. What a big boy.

I kept making fish faces and kissing faces for Brock - Brock kept saying to me, "kiss mom, fish mom, kiss mom, fish mom". So this is me -fish mom, kiss mom.

Baby Zack has been doing the funny face thing lately

Zack's hair only seems to grow in the middle, so it looks like he has a comb over most the time.
Speaking of hair, in an earlier post I was talking about Travis shaving his head - don't worry I'm not a mean wife I did let him go to church with me. An to clear things up there is nothing sexier then a shaved head, but if you have hair there is no need to shave it.

Since the day Zack was born everyone thinks Zack looks nothing like anyone of us,especially since Zack has a little red in his hair. Some joke that Zack is the mailman's - well our mailman is a mailwomen so that's not going to work. I think Zack looks like his brother Brock but fatter cheeks - I love him no matter what - RED hair and all. LOL..........

Zack loves Ritz crackers, but he has to lick the salt off them first, then eat the cracker. What a funny little man.

YEA-YEA-YEA

YEA-YEA-YEA-YEA
I am so excited I've lost another TWO dress sizes since Christmas. Yippy I've been working really hard those early mornings at the gym are paying off. I bought a new Easter dress for myself and I had to get it TWO sizes smaller - what a great feeling it was.

Katie Williams - She will be missed.

Last night I found out that one of the sweet kids I worked with at Fremont High School passed away. Katie was such a sweet girl, and always full of energy. Katie loved to chase the boys and always had a story to tell about some cute boy smiled at her that day, but that's just the personality Katie had. Every year we took the kids to Lagoon, I remember ridding on a water ride with her and laughing our heads off because we got so wet, and how funny our hair looked at the end on the ride. I am truly sad of Katie's passing, but she's in heaven with her mom. It always bring comfort to know that one day will see Katie again - probably chasing after some boy.LOL....

Easter 2008

Brock had so much fun finding Easter eggs with the help of great grandma Kaye. He even found Elmo juice boxes- Brock loves Elmo.

Brock was so excited about finding candy that he kept running and tripping to find any candy he could, then after awhile it became a game to him to run fall then find candy.

......Baby Zachary was so pleased with his findings.....

Mom, Zachary, and Brock finding Easter eggs

........FUN IN THE DIRT.......

Travis and Bryan tilling Bryan's garden. Brock had fun just ridding his bike through the fresh dirt. BOYS AND THEIR TOYS.

If you look close you can see that Travis took it upon himself to shave his head bald, Travis has been having issues with going bald, WHICH HE WASN'T, but thanks to my sisters giving him a hard time about it, he finally shaved it - I was not happy at all, I even told him that he couldn't come with me to church tomorrow that I wouldn't been seen it public with him like that - I think it looks that bad shaved bald, especially when he didn't need to shave it in the first place. He is one of the only guys our age that seems to even have hair and he goes and shaves it.

We spent the day helping Bryan and Emily put in their square foot garden. It was such a fun day, a little cold, but that didn't stop anyone from having fun. You can see that Brock just loves to help, we couldn't keep him out of the dirt, he kept saying "i'm a big boy, a sunbeam and I help, because i'm a big helper".

WHAT A DAY..

Brock thinks it's funny to put Zachary in the laundry basket and pull him around the house, you can see that Zachary doesn't mind at all.
......... I love being a mom to these two sweet boys......

The boys were taking a bath and Zachary fell in the bubbles. He wasn't to happy about the bubbles on his face.

Last Christmas Grandma and Grandpa Olsen gave Brock this tent. The other day Travis put it up in the front room for the boys to play in and Brock fell asleep in it for 2 hours, it was amazing to me that he slept in it by himself. The following night Brock wanted a sleepover with his dad in the tent- let's just say Travis got no sleep that night.

.....Sometimes Brock forgets that he's 3 years old and not 9 months like his brother.....

Tonight I took Zachary to the doctor and he now has croup (think that's how you spell it) they had to give him a steroid shot to help his breathing, you can see from the pictures that he's not a very happy baby. The other night he was so sick that he just cried mama mama mama for 2 1/2 hours, i cried the whole time with him. Finally at 3:30 a.m. after his crying woke up Brock Zachary stopped crying once he saw his brother. If i had known that's what would make him stop crying I would have woke up Brock hours earlier. It was so sweet Brock turned to Zachary and said " don't worry baby Zack I love you and will hold you" goodness- moments like that you forget you've had no sleep, even with no sleep I love being a mom. The next day was one of those mountain dew days.
What freaks me out the most is that being such a germ freak WHERE DID they get sick. Doctor said it's good for babies to get sick a few times before their 1 1/2 years old because it helps their bodies fight things when their older. That's great doc. but I HATE germs. I'm still wondering where my kids got sick. Doc also said that church is the worst germ place to take kids, I don't know what I'll do when Zachary is nursery age, maybe a bubble would make me feel better. For all that maybe wondering why I'm such a weirdo about the germs, but when you've had preemies, and sick as bad as Brock was it just became a habit, a habit that's never gone away.

Warm Weather???

Since the weather was warming up I started taking the boys to the park. Brock made a new friend Owen but Brock pronounces it O-One. They have just become the best of friends and neither one can wait for 5:00 p.m so we can go to the park. Zachary loves being outside and was just thrilled to watch the other boys playing.

So it's official that I'm raising a baby Dinosaur/Godzilla. Zachary climbs everything - I do mean everything, so we call him Godzilla. It's scary how much he can climb anything and he's only 9 months old. Also when he gets excited or wants your attention he does this thing where he sounds like a dinosaur. I really should get it on video and send it in to AFHV. Brock loves it when Zachary does his dinosaur call because he thinks it's Zachary's way of talking to him. Some fun news is that Zachary walked for the first time on his own - well at least with his bike/walker and you can see from the pictures how pleased with himself he is. Also Zachary got his first few teeth, but he's getting his canine teeth in first which most kids don't get first, but hey, the Olsen family never does anything normal.

CONGRATULATION'S.. IT'S A BOY!!

We found out the other day that my brother Bryan and his wife Emily are getting a baby boy in June. I'm so beyond excited for them. Bryan and Emily are the most wonderful deserving two people, what a lucky baby he is to get Bryan and Emily for a mommy and daddy. Since I found out last weekend I can't stop crying anytime I think about them getting this baby, being a mom is such an amazing thing, just this week Zachary said mom for the first time and all I could do was cry just thinking of how wonderful it was to hear him say it, but also the joy it will be for Emily the first time she hears it. What a great thing adoption is. I can't wait for June to arrive, and now Zachary and baby will be a year apart which will be so much fun.

WINNER- WINNER

Saturday night we went grocery shopping at Lee's Market for their grand opening. They had a drawing for anyone 4 years and under, so we picked 87 for Brock and 14 for Zachary, the winning number was 12 so baby Zachary won this race car. Zachary thinks he's such a big boy now.
